NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – Juniors Julie Cherneskie and Emma Wood of the Ursinus College women's lacrosse team were recognized on the 2022 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll.
The IWLCA honored 977 student-athletes from 183 different institutions on the 2022 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
A biology major, Cherneskie earns her first IWLCA Academic Honor Roll nomination for her collegiate career and is a two-time CC Academic Honor Roll recipient. She started in all but one game during the 2022 season in the midfield and recorded the first six points of her career behind four goals and two assists. She led the team with 57 draw control wins and ranked second on the team with 20 caused turnovers.
Wood, a visual communications major, also earned her first IWLCA Academic Honor Roll Nomination and is a two-time CC Academic Honor Roll recipient as well. She played in 16 games this spring while making three starts. Wood posted three points on one goal and two assists while picking up 18 ground balls and causing six turnovers.
