Women's Golf Finishes Second at Arcadia Spring Kick Off Classic

LAKEWOOD, NJ. - Jessica Lamarca highlighted the Bears weekend with a seventh-place finish overall, leading Ursinus to a second-place team finish at the Arcadia Spring Kick Off Classic. Ursinus totaled a score of 861 and lowered their team score by 29 shots from day one to day two.  

The Bears had six players compete at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course, a par-72 course that stretches over 5,600 yards. 

The Bears finished behind the host, Arcadia University after they combined for a total of 743. Stockton totaled a score of 924 to place third and both FDU-Florham and Widener scores did not count.  

Lamarca shot a 96 on day one but bounced back on day two with a 92. Her day was highlighted by a birdie on the par-4 14th hole and five pars on the back nine.  

First-year Kaylin Chen had an outstanding improvement from day one where she signed for a 111. Chin turned in a 94 on day two, improving her round by 17 shots for a 10th place finish.  

Carolyn DeCicco signed for a 108 on day two and earned a 12th place finish. First year Elliot Schott was steady all weekend, finishing with a 117 on day one and 118 on day two for a 14th place finish.  

Rebecca Chernoff (18th) and Bailey Hann (20th) each recorded a top-20 finish. Chernoff signed for a 122, five shots better than her round on Friday. Meanwhile, Hann finished just behind with a 123 on day two, improving from Friday by six shots.  

The Bears will return to action on Tuesday as they host the Ursinus Invitational at Stonewall Golf Course in Elverson, Pa.
