Why Ursinus? I chose Ursinus because I loved the campus as soon as I got on it. I loved the small student population, the ability to plan your own major, Pfahler Hall (especially the extensive rock/mineral collection). When I toured, I met with Coach Hollis and some of the girls on the team – I instantly loved Coach Hollis and his ideas/mentality about golf. Coach Hollis was one of if not the main deciding factor; when choosing schools I knew I was going to play for the women’s golf team, so I knew I had to click with/get along with the coach and I instantly did when I met Coach. But I also loved the strong connection that the school has with its alumni, as well as the fact that there is an Office of Sustainability. When deciding to apply I didn’t know any of the professors in the ENV department, but as soon as classes started I loved their ideals and teaching styles and have ultimately grown very close with the professors in my department. I’m glad I chose to become a Bear at Ursinus.
