ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's golf concluded its fall slate by tying for fourth place at Wednesday's Eastern Invitational.
Sophomores Rebecca Chiger and Matison Leand signed for matching rounds of 86 for the Bears, who totaled 359 team strokes on the afternoon. Stevenson posted a 334 to edge Millersville (337) by three strokes, with Eastern (353) claiming third. The Bears were even with East Stroudsburg in fourth, followed by Alvernia (378), Lebanon Valley (388), and Arcadia (428).
Chiger and Leand tied for 11th place overall in a field of 46 golfers. Chiger, the reigning Centennial Conference Women's Golf Athlete of the Week, carded a birdie on the par-5 8th hole.
Junior Sarah Thompson was one stroke off her season low with a 93, and sophomore Emily McGarrigle rounded out the Bears' four-some with a 94.
