ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Morgan Comfort and Heather Lazer were unstoppable in the Ursinus College softball team's sweep of Eastern on Tuesday. This time, it was Megan Hasulak's turn to dominate with the bat.

The sophomore put together a monster afternoon at the plate in Thursday's sweep at Elizabethtown, driving in seven runs in only six at-bats to lead the Bears (9-7) to their third and fourth consecutive victories. Hasulak delivered the go-ahead hit on a bunt single in the sixth inning of an 8-3 victory in the opener, then broke a scoreless deadlock with a two-run double to set Ursinus on the path to a 6-3 triumph in the second contest.

Game 1: Ursinus 8, Elizabethtown 3

The Bears trailed 1-0 before sophomore Amanda Ladzinski led off the third with a double and moved up a base on a bunt single by Donato. After a pop-out, an RBI groundout by Hasulak and a two-out infield hit off the bat of Lazer had Ursinus in front, 2-1.

Elizabethtown (6-14) took the lead back with two runs in the bottom of the fifth, but the Bears came roaring back with a huge sixth. Senior Gabrielle Manto ignited a four-run explosion with a leadoff double and scored on freshman Julia Eckels' pinch-hit single to center.

Eventually the bases became full for Hasulak, who dropped down a bunt and beat it out to re-pack the sacks and plate the go-ahead run. Following a force at the dish, senior Kayla Quinn ripped a clutch two-run single up the middle to stretch the lead to 6-3.

Hasulak's two-out, two-RBI single in the seventh capped the scoring. She finished 2-for-3 with four RBI and a run.

Lazer (2-for-5, RBI) and Manto (2-for-3, run) also had multi-hit games for the Bears, while senior Sammi Donato was 1-for-1 with two runs.

Junior Jennifer Hammons (4-4) notched a complete game, allowing three runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Game 2: Ursinus 6, Elizabethtown 3

Hasulak broke through a scoreless deadlock in the top of the third, slashing a two-run double to the gap in right-center to score freshman Ally St. Jean (double) and senior Samantha Garritano (infield single).

Ursinus tacked on three more in the fourth, the first courtesy of an error by the Blue Jay left fielder. Hasulak's sacrifice fly added another, and Quinn hit an RBI single up the middle to make it 5-0.

Quinn scored the sixth and final run for the Bears, tripling down the right-field line with one out and scoring on a grounder by Comfort.

Freshman Kayla McTamney got the win on the mound, the first of her career, after allowing three runs (two earned) on 10 hits. She walked one and struck out one.

Hasulak was 1-for-3 with three RBI in the nightcap. Garritano finished 2-for-2 with two runs and two stolen bases out of the leadoff spot. Quinn went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run and St. Jean scored a pair of runs, while Lazer joined Quinn with a triple.
