Kelly, Reilly Compete at Swarthmore Final Qualifier

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Morgan Cope extended her own outdoor program record in the pole vault to lead the way for a small contingent of Ursinus track and field athletes at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier on a chilly Monday on the Main Line.

In the final competition of her career, Cope added one inch to her Centennial Conference winning mark by clearing 11-5.00 to move into a tie for the No. 62 spot on the Division III performance list. She leaves Ursinus with school records in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault, placing fourth at the CC indoor championship before grabbing gold at the outdoor meet.

Senior Brittany Gasser made a big move in the 800, lowering her personal best by nearly a full second with a time of 2:16.35. She now ranks fifth in the conference and No. 53 in all of Division III, and wound up just over a half-second short of the Ursinus outdoor record (2:15.81).

Freshman Tyler Reilly crossed the line in 50.20 seconds in the 400-meter dash, while junior Andre Kelly fell just .30 ticks shy of his PR with a 1:57.12 in the 800.
