LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A day after garnering Centennial Conference offensive player of the week honors, Ursinus College men's lacrosse junior Bobby McClure was selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III team of the week.
McClure's latest recognition comes on the heels of another prolific performance in last Wednesday's victory over Eastern. The junior attack scored six goals – all in the first half, and four of them in the second quarter – to match the single-game school record and power the 8th-ranked Bears to a 16-7 rout. McClure also handed out two assists for a career-best eight points.
A two-time CC weekly honoree, McClure is making his debut appearance on the USILA team of the week roster. He is the third Ursinus player to be so honored this season, joining senior attack Peter DeSimone and senior goalkeeper Nick Kirk.
McClure and the unbeaten Bears head to the Battlefield on Saturday to open conference play with a top-10 showdown at Gettysburg.
