Men's Basketball falls to Dickinson, 94-70

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Defending Centennial Conference champion Dickinson opened the game on a 14-4 run and never looked back as the Red Devils (11-2, 6-0 Centennial) led wire-to-wire in a 94-70 win over Ursinus (2-11, 0-6 Centennial) Saturday afternoon in men's basketball play.

The Red Devils, who advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals last season, put four players in double figures with 22 points coming from both Gerry Wixted and Tom McInerney, and 14 points from Brandon Angradi.

Ursinus was led by senior point guard Jesse Krasna. Krasna, playing in his first home game this season, scoring 18 points on 50 percent shooting and was 8-for-9 on foul shots. As a team, the Bears converted 25 foul shots on the day on 33 attempts.

Senior forward Ryan Adams scored 13 points, with sophomore guard Malik Draper netting ten for the Bears.

Trailing by ten in the first half, Ursinus was able to cut the deficit to only nine three times, before the Red Devils went on a 14-2 run over a five minute span to go up 21 at 33-12.

Dickinson held a 46-28 edge on the glass, with Wixted grabbing a game-high 12 to get a double-double. Forward Steve Collings grabbed 11 rebounds. Ursinus got five rebounds from both Draper and sophomore guard Trevor Norton. Krasna had six assists for the Bears, with Tucker Landy dishing out seven for the Red Devils

Ursinus heads to Chestertown, Md., to face Washington College on Tuesday night.
