CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Despite putting three players in double figures, Ursinus (7-11, 4-7 Centennial) fell to Washington College (6-12, 5-6 Centennial) 88-79 Thursday night in men's basketball play.
Ursinus was led by senior guard Matt Hilton (Lewistown, Pa./Lewistown Area) who had a game-high 23 points, with sophomore forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) scoring 18.
Freshman guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) added in 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Washington was led by Kevin Breslin who had 19 points, with Mark DeBoy adding in 15.
Ursinus had a commanding 43-23 lead in rebounding, but, Washington converted on 28-of-42 foul shot attempts in the win. Washington also took care of the ball, making just four turnovers.
Ursinus, who lead 35-34 at intermission, took its biggest lead of the game at 22-13 with 11:11 left to go in the first half on a layup by Krasna.
Ursinus will host Dickinson Saturday.
