Men's Basketball falls to Dickinson, 86-72

CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson put five players in double figures as the Red Devils (5-4, 4-1 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (2-6, 1-4 Centennial) 86-72 in men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears put four players of their own in double figures, paced by 21 points from sophomore forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) and 20 from senior guard Matt Hilton (Lewistown, Pa./Lewistown Area).

Freshman guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) added in 11 with sophomore forward Kevin Janowski (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) scoring ten.

Ursinus held the lead early, as a layup from Krasna with 16:31 left gave the Bears a 9-4 lead. From there, the Red Devils fought back as they outscored the Bears 14-3 over the next four minutes to take an 18-12 lead.

Dickinson pushed the lead into double digits, as Ursinus was only able to get within four the rest of the way. The Red Devils held a slim 27-26 lead on the glass, as Janowski had five rebounds for Ursinus.

The Bears pause for finals, and retake the court at the Hampden-Sydney Tournament after Christmas battling Medallie on Wednesday, December 29 at 7 p.m.
