DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Ursinus finished its southern swing at 0-2
as the Bears (5-5) fell to Carroll (WIs.) by a 91-68 score in the
second game of the Land of Magic Classic on Tuesday afternoon.
For Ursinus, junior guard Matt Hilton (Lewistown,
Pa./Lewistown Area) had a team-high 20 points, while
freshman forward Kevin Janowski (New Egypt, N.J./New
Egypt) had 13 points. Freshman forward John Ward
(Allentown, Pa./Parkland) scored 11 for the Bears.
For the Pioneers (5-3), John Hoch had 31 points as Carroll
connected on 60.7 percent (17-for-28) of its shots in the second
half.
Both teams had 32 rebounds, with senior guard Remy Cousart
(Philadelphia, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) grabbing nine for the
Bears.
Ursinus trailed by five at the half, 39-34, before the Pioneers
went on a 25-2 run over the first 7:26 of the second stanza and
never looked back.
