BALTIMORE, Md. - Ursinus senior guard Remy Cousart (Philadelphia, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) had a game-high 19 points, while junior guard Matt Hilton (Lewistown, Pa./Lewistown Area) added in 17 as the Bears (13-6, 9-3 Centennial) defeated Johns Hopkins (8-10, 4-7 Centennial) 74-66 on Saturday afternoon.

Cousart also grabbed seven rebounds as the Bears remained one-game back of Franklin & Marshall for first place, heading into the two teams showdown Wednesday in Collegeville.

Freshman guard Matt Donahue (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity School) added in 11 points as the Bears shot 62.5 percent (25-for-40) from the field in the contest, while connecting on 50 percent (7-for-14) from behind the arc.

For Hopkins, John Alberici and Mike Henrici each had 14 points, while Mike Rhoads added in ten.

Cousart is now just 25 points away from his 1,000th career point and needs just two assists to reach 500 assists in his career.

Cousart's seven boards, along with five each from senior guard Keith Page (Manchester, England/Blair Academy) and freshman forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) gave Ursinus a 30-27 lead on the glass.

Ursinus opened the game by outscoring Hopkins 11-2, before the Blue Jays got to within three at 15-12 on a three-pointer by Danny Gergen.

Ursinus would rebuild the lead back to seven at 22-15 with 7:08 to go on a layup by Cousart. Hopkins would eventually rally, and take a 32-30 lead into intermission.

In the second half, Hopkins led most of the way. Ursinus took the lead for good at 62-61 on a pair of foul shots from Hilton with 3:08. Hilton, who is ranked among the leaders in Division III in foul shooting, would make four more in the last two minutes to help seal the win.
