Men's Tennis Wins Again

The Muhlenberg men's tennis team continued its late-season surge, defeating Ursinus 7-2 for its third win in the last four matches.

The Mules have three Centennial Conference wins this season, their most since 2010. Their six overall wins are the most since 2009.

Junior Alex Dagilis and sophomore Noah Dunn pulled out a tight 8-6 victory at No. 2 in the key doubles match, sending Muhlenberg into singles play with a 2-1 lead.

Dagilis and Dunn started singles play with comfortable wins (6-0, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-1, respectively), extending the Mule advantage to 4-1.

Sophomore Jason Grant then clinched the match at No. 2 singles. After gutting out an 11-9 win in a first-set tiebreaker, he won the second set, 6-1.

Freshman Daniel Kantor and sophomore Gavin Meyers provided the final margin, with Meyers (pictured above) winning in three sets in the final match on the court.
