Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.--Swarthmore College baseball improved to 23-8 in a victory at Ursinus College on Friday, reaching its highest win total since it had 27 in 1984-85.
The Centennial Conference's first-place Garnet (10-2) topped the Bears (9-15-1, 4-7-1) by a score of 9-7.
The first three innings of the game were scoreless. The bats came alive for Swarthmore in the fourth as sophomore
Kenji Yoshii had a two-RBI single, and junior
Charles Levitt scored Yoshii with a single of his own.

Ryan Warm blanked Ursinus for the first five innings until the Bears matched the Garnet with one run in the sixth. Sophomore
AJ Liu was responsible for Swarthmore's run on a single to left field.
The Garnet took a commanding lead in the seventh with five runs. Liu provided two more RBIs with a double to center, and junior
Jackson Roberts joined the fun with a single that scored two as well. Swarthmore had a 9-1 lead at this point.
After getting two outs and surrendering two runs in the bottom of the seventh, Warm was pulled with five strikeouts and one walk. He picked up the win to remain perfect at 4-0 on the year.
Ursinus provided Swarthmore with a scare in the ninth, plating four runs on five hits. Sophomore
Jack Corkery was called upon to close things with two outs to get. Without further ado, Corkery hit a batter and struck out the next two, picking up his conference-leading sixth save of the season. In his last nine appearances, Corkery has pitched 8.2 innings without allowing a run or a hit while striking out 11.
Levitt led the Garnet with three hits in the win. Liu, Yoshii and freshman
Coleson Hebble added two apiece.
Swarthmore has a home doubleheader against Gettysburg College (9-19, 3-9) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
