The Muhlenberg women's basketball team struggled on offense and fell at Ursinus, 57-38, in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs.
The Bears (17-9) advance to the semifinals to face top-seeded Gettysburg. The Mules ended their season with a record of 15-11.
A pair of baskets by senior
Sara Dilly had the teams even at 4-4 three minutes into the first quarter, but Muhlenberg made only one field goal the rest of the period, which ended with Ursinus up 15-6.
The Mules got within seven points early in the second quarter before going on another scoring drought and played from well behind the rest of the game.
Dilly finished with 13 points in the last game of her career, while seniors
Eva Sodaitis (pictured above) and
Amanda Morello closed out their careers by scoring four points apiece.
Freshman
Margaux Eripret pulled down a team-leading nine rebounds.
Muhlenberg finished the season allowing only 52.07 points per game, breaking the school record for the shot-clock era. The previous mark of 52.10 was set in 2005-06.
