The Muhlenberg baseball team had one of its best offensive days of the season but could not keep pace with the high-powered Ursinus lineup in a 22-9 loss.

The Mules (16-14, 6-6) scored at least six runs for the fifth time in their last six Centennial Conference games and held an 8-4 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth. But the Bears (16-13, 6-6), who rank among the national leaders in slugging percentage, plated 14 runs over the next two innings turn the game around.

Junior John Serruto went 3-for-5 to lead Muhlenberg's 13-hit attack. Senior Matt Riebesell drove in a run with his 13th double of the season, reaching the career milestone of 150 hits. Senior Jon Capra also had an RBI double among his two hits.

Junior Max Shapiro (pictured above) was the lone Mule pitcher to escape unharmed, pitching a scoreless seventh.
