Danielle Kenny returned to her alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the 2017 season.

Kenny was a four-year member of the volleyball team at Ursinus, playing in 70 matches from 2013 to 2016. She collected career totals of 168 digs, 89 kills, 46 blocks, and 38 assists. As a junior in 2015, Kenny tied for the team lead with 20 total blocks.

Kenny was active on campus as a student. She was the volleyball team's representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the president of Phi Alpha Psi sorority, a wrestling team manager, tour guide, and bookstore employee. She graduated from Ursinus in 2017 with a degree in psychology.
