Keith Cappo was hired as head coach of the Ursinus College men's soccer team on March 14, 2016. Cappo comes to Collegeville following a two-year stint as an assistant with the women's program at Temple and brings with him almost a decade of collegiate experience at the Division I, II, and III levels.

Cappo spent the last two seasons as an assistant with the women's program at Temple, helping to lead the Owls to a program-record 12 wins and a berth in the American Athletic Conference quarterfinals in 2015. During his two years, Temple accomplished several school firsts, including consecutive double-digit wins and back-to-back appearances in the NSCAA regional rankings. The Owls moved all the way up to #55 in the RPI ratings, a program-best, and saw multiple players selected for all-conference honors.

Cappo served under head coach Seamus O'Connor at Temple, for whom he spent two years as an assistant for both the men's and women's teams at Chestnut Hill College. He was heavily involved in training, in-game managing, recruiting, and scouting for the Griffins, assisting with their transition from Division III to Division II competition. 

When O'Connor left in 2010 to take over the Owls' program, Cappo became the men's head coach at Chestnut Hill, guiding the Griffins to their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament berth in his first season at the helm. He oversaw all aspects of a program that garnered regional recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America during those three seasons and returned to the CACC playoffs in 2013.

Cappo also acted as O'Connor's assistant with Philadelphia Liberty FC of the Women's Premier Soccer League from 2009 to 2010, during which the club earned its first postseason appearance. Cappo was in charge of technical and tactical training, scouting, and the recruitment and evaluation of players.

Before beginning his collegiate career, Cappo coached for five years at the high school level. He was a boys soccer assistant at Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School and Thomas A. Edison High School in Virginia from 2004 to 2006, serving as the head of player development with the former before returning to the Philadelphia area. Cappo took over as an assistant varsity coach with the boys team at The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr until 2008, where he taught mathematics from 2006 to 2014.

Cappo was a standout during his playing days at Catholic University. He was an All-Capital Athletic Conference selection as a senior in 2003, also earning All-Academic Team recognition in 2000 and 2001. Cappo was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Cardinals after red-shirting at Division I Maryland-Baltimore County in 1999.

Cappo was a three-year varsity starter at William Penn Charter School, where he collected Philadelphia All-City Soccer Team honors in 1998 and was inducted into the school's Athletic Honor Society in 2013.

Cappo holds an 'A' license from the USSF in addition an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA and a National Youth License with the USYS. He has also coached both boys and girls at the youth club level with Continental Football Club, Penn Fusion Soccer Academy, West Chester United Soccer Club, Arlington Soccer, and the EPYSA's Olympic Development Program.

A 2004 grduate of Catholic with a bachelor's degree in mathematics, Cappo resides in Drexel Hill with his wife Emily and son Quinn.
