Women's XC Equals Best Showing at CC Champs

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's cross country team equaled the best performance in team history at the Centennial Conference championship on Saturday, finishing sixth for the first time in over a decade.

Rachel Conhoff was at the head of the pack once again for the Bears, who last finished sixth back in 2007. The sophomore was impressive in her championship debut, clocking in at 23:37.7 to place 24th in a field of 99 at Gettysburg.

Lauren Ferguson finished 60th overall at 25:37.2, and Holly Chambers landed six spots back with a 26:00.6

Alexandra West notched a new PR by exactly 10 seconds with a 26:28.3 (70th).

Alyson Manley (26:52.9) and Katherine Moore (26:54.3) were neck and neck, as were Mary Zukus (27:00.0) and Bianca Joseph (27:06.5). Jenna Lozzi (27:44.1) and Amanda Choi (27:45.1) were similarly bunched, Lozzi picking up a PR to edge Choi by one second.

Meredith Steele completed the Ursinus traveling party in 28:27.8.

The Bears host their annual twilight meet before resuming championship action at the NCAA Mideast Regional at Lehigh on November 16.
