Women's XC Piles up PRs at Paul Short

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Rachel Conhoff blew her 6-kilometer personal best out of the water with a sensational performance to lead a host of record-breaking efforts by the Ursinus College women's cross country team at the annual Paul Short Invitational on Saturday.

Conhoff, who has paced the Bears in every race this season, took nearly 90 seconds off her previous PR to place 48th in a field of over 300 with a mark of 23:26.04.

Ursinus finished 27th overall, just outside the top half of a 49-team White Race, and eight of the Bears' nine entrants shaved at least 30 seconds off their 6K personal bests.

Lauren Ferguson also posted a big PR, trimming more than 30 seconds off her previous standard with a 25:20.46. Alyson Manley's 25:49 was a personal best at the Paul Short Run.

Katherine Moore, meanwhile, dropped more than two-and-a-half minutes off her former best with a 26:13.50 to cross the line third among her teammates.

Meredith Steele knocked well over a minute off her PR with a 26:23.87, and Bianca Joseph was next to complete the course at Lehigh University at 26:49.87.

Alexandra West established a new PR of almost 90 seconds with a time of 27:02.25, and Amanda Choi was a hair behind at 27:02.41, also a sizeable personal record.

Mary Zukus lowered her standard by more than a minute at 27:30.68, and Jenna Lozzi was over two minutes ahead of her previous 6K best with a 27:47.62.
