Women's XC takes second at Cairn

LANGHORNE, Pa. – The early crisp weather provided great running weather, something that the Ursinus College women's cross country team took full advantage of as they finished second at the Cairn Invitational on Saturday.

The team finished with a total of 42 points. More importantly, the Bears took the top two spots individually.

Junior Emelia Perry (Daiti City, Japan/Shijoynawate) finished first overall with a time of 19:14, followed by junior Emily Lamb (Parkesburg, Pa./Westtown) in second place with a time of 19:23.

Sophomore Grace Barter (East Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) was ninth overall, and third on the team at 20:29, with junior Chelsea Nemeth (Coplay, Pa./Parkland) taking 13th overall at 21:01.

Sophomore Danielle Grimes (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) finished 17th overall at 21:43, with freshman Alicia Baker (York, Pa./York Suburban) going 18th at 21:46 and junior Larissa Coyne (New York City/Beacon) finishing 22nd at 22:07.
