GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College volleyball team dropped a Centennial Conference matchup with Gettysburg on Saturday, 3-0 (25-7, 25-16, 25-21).

After a bit of a struggle in the first set, the Bears (4-9, 0-2) rebounded in the second and third, led by senior Allison Raff, who had a hit percentage of .217 in the match while leading the team with eight each of kills and digs. The senior co-captain reeled off three points in a row for Ursinus in the second set, as it attempted to claw back from a 16-9 deficit.

Raff contributed four more kills in the final frame, as the Bears turned up the intensity on the Bullets (13-1, 1-0), keeping it close until the final few points. She finished off her stat line with a pair of aces.

While Raff led the Bears in digs, junior Sydney Gonzalez chipped in seven and sophomore Kelly Piotrowicz added six.

Sophomore Lauren Novotny had two aces to go with three digs.

The Bears' next contest is Tuesday at home, as they face Penn State-Berks.
