WESTMINSTER, Md. – Ursinus went 1-1 at a tri-match hosted by McDaniel on Saturday afternoon.

In the first match, Ursinus (12-6, 1-3 Centennial) dropped a 3-1 decision to McDaniel (16-4, 2-2 Centennial) by a 3-1 score. Set scores were 25-6, 25-10, 20-25 and 25-19. In the nightcap, Ursinus defeated PSU-Harrisburg by a 3-0 score. Set scores were: 25-9, 25-12 and 25-11.

Against the Green Terror, junior outside hitter Karla Thiele (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins Senior) had 15 kills while freshman outside hitter Taylor McCartney (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) got eight.

Senior setter Gina Powers (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) had 27 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Leah Masiello (New Castle, Del./St. Elizabeth's) had nine digs, with McCartney and Powers having seven.

Against PSU-Harrisburg (1-16), freshman outside hitter Allison Raff (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) had 11 kills with Powers and Thiele getting seven. Powers got 16 assists, followed by sophomore setter Emily van Mulbregt (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) with 15.

Thiele and Masiello each had 14 digs.

Ursinus goes to Haverford on Wednesday.
