COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College volleyball team finally opened up at home on Saturday, and didn't disappoint as the Bears (7-2) defeated Albright (3-6) 3-0 Saturday morning.\

Set scores went 25-21, 25-10, 25-16 for the Bears, who have now won seven straight.

Junior outside hitter Karla Thiele (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins Senior) had a match-high 15 kills on 34 attack attempts with just four errors (.324 hitting percentage). Freshman outside hitter Allison Raff (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) had eight kills as she just had three errors for a  .250 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitter Taylor McCartney (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) had six kills for Ursinus. 

Senior setter Gina Powers (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) and freshman middle blocker Phrieda Bogere (Panama City, Fla./North Bay Haven Charter Academy) each chipped in with five kills.

Powers had 37 assists, and also had 12 digs. Senior libero  Leah Masiello (New Castle, Del./St. Elizabeth's) paced the Bears with 20 digs, with Thiele adding in 19.

Ursinus, who picked up its sixth-straight 3-0 win, will travel to PSU-Berks on Wednesday.
