BALTIMORE, Md. – The Ursinus College volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday at Johns Hopkins University.

The opener saw the Bears drop a 3-0 decision to the homestanding Blue Jays (19-2, 4-1 Centennial) by scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-14.

In the second match, Ursinus (7-11, 2-4 Centennial) turned the tables by sweeping Hood (6-10) 3-0. Set scores in that match were 25-19, 25-20 25-22.

In the opening match Kristin Hanratty had a team-high ten kills, while Anahi McIntyre had six. Gina Powers went for 17 assists, with Leah Masiello getting eight digs. Hanratty chipped in with six.

In the Hood match, McIntyre had ten kills to lead both sides with Kayla McLeod getting seven. Powers and Mara Berzins had six kills each.

Powers had 22 assists with Hanratty adding in four.

Defensively, Masiello had 19 digs and Hanratty added ten digs and 2.5 blocks.
