LANCASTER, Pa. - The Ursinus College volleyball team dropped its
Centennial opener to Franklin & Marshall on Saturday afternoon
by a 3-0 score.
Set scores were 25-19, 25-17 and 26-24.
In the second match of the day, the Bears defeated Scranton 3-1.
Set scores were 25-19, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-17.
For the Bears against the Diplomats, junior Mary Kate
Wilmoth (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) had nine kills.
Sophomore setter Elizabeth Roth (York, Pa./Dallastown
Area) had 21 assist, with junior outside hitter
Gabriella Galleo (Reading, Pa./Spring-Ford) having
13 digs.
Against Scranton, Wilmoth had 13 kills with Galleo having nine.
Roth had 48 assists, with senior libero Jennifer Fargo
(Secaucus, N.J./Lacoradire Academy) netting 23 digs.
Galleo had 22 digs, with Wilmoth with 21.
Ursinus will head to Haverford on Tuesday.
