COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Great attacking plus great defense equaled a
win for the Ursinus College volleyball team on Thursday night
against Delaware Valley.
The Bears (7-11) defeated the Aggies (13-7) 3-1, with set scores
being 26-24, 25-17, 24-26 and 25-17.
The Bears had 91 digs on the evening, to go along with 52 kills on
175 attempts. Junior outside hitter Mary Kate Wilmoth
(Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) had a match-high 20 kills
along with 17 digs. Senior libero Jennifer Fargo (Secaucus,
N.J./Lacoradire Academy) had a match-high 26 digs, while
junior outside hitter Gabriella Galleo (Reading,
Pa./Spring-Ford) had 20 digs.
Freshman middle blocker Kristin Hanratty (Cinnaminson,
N.J./Cinnaminson) had 11 kills for the Bears.
Sophomore setter Elizabeth Roth (York, Pa./Dallastown
Area) had 47 assists for the Bears.
Sophomore outside hitter Amy Estep had 14 kills for the Aggies,
with junior outside hitter Ashley Mikulsky and sophomore libero
Emily Robillard each getting 23 digs.
Ursinus hosts Albright on Saturday morning.
