COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - After dropping the first set, Ursinus won
the next three as the Bears (8-12, 2-4 Centennial) defeated
Washington (9-11, 0-5 Centennial) 3-1 on Wednesday night in
volleyball action.
Set scores were 22-25, 25-17, 25-17 and 25-20.
Junior outside hitter Mary Kate Wilmoth (Wilmington,
Del./St. Mark's) had a match-high 19 kills, while freshman
middle blocker Kristin Hanratty (Cinnaminson,
N.J./Cinnaminson) had 12 kills.
Sophomore libero Elizabeth Roth (York, Pa./Dallastown
Area) had 42 assists, with junior outside hitter
Gabriella Galleo (Reading, Pa./Spring-Ford) having
14 digs. Senior libero Jennifer Fargo (Secaucus,
N.J./Lacoradire Academy) had 13 digs in the win.
Hanratty also had six service aces for the Bears.
For the Shorewomen, sophomore outside Alyssa Forget and freshman
middle hitter Jenny Lee each had nine kills, with senior setter
Caitlin Ward getting 23 assists. Junior libero Traci Daelemans had
20 digs.
