2019 All-CC Team

LANCASTER, Pa. – Thanks to their medal-worthy efforts at the Centennial Conference outdoor championships, eight members of the Ursinus College women's track and field team were officially awarded All-CC recognition.

Senior Morgan Cope received first team status for winning gold in the pole vault. Senior Caroline Buckley was named to the second team after taking silver in the triple jump, and was joined by sophomore Gianna Speranza, sophomore Rachel Coleman, sophomore Molly Rodebaugh, and freshman Kate Hunt from the runner-up 4x100-meter relay. Freshman Rosie Cuomo (100-meter hurdles) and senior Brittany Gasser (400-meter dash) received honorable mention for claiming bronze in their respective events.

Cope shattered the former outdoor program record with a mark of 11-4.50, clearing it on the first attempt to edge out a competitor from Johns Hopkins to become the Bears' first conference champion in the pole vault. Cope added to her school standard on Monday, going over 11-5.00 at Swarthmore's Final Qualifier.

Buckley earned silver in the triple jump for the second time in her career with a leap of 34-10.25.

Speranza, Coleman, Rodebaugh, and Hunt gave Ursinus a silver medal in the 4x100-meter relay for the second consecutive season, crossing the line about a second back of Swarthmore in 50.07 seconds. It was also the second straight silver in the event for Speranza and Coleman, who finished in 50.24 at last year's outdoor championship.

Cuomo gave the Bears a massive lift with a stunning performance in the 100-meter hurdles, logging a huge PR of 16.17 seconds to move all the way up from seventh in the prelims to the podium in third place. The rookie edged Dickinson's Alexandra Colby by .14 seconds to claim bronze.

Gasser grabbed her first career outdoor medal with a third-place run in the 400-meter dash (59.77), landing a full three-quarters of a second clear of the fourth-place finisher.

Additionally, sophomore Neve Durrwachter was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The eight all-conference honorees are the most since 2011 for the Bears, who finished in fifth place.
