Women's 4x400 Runs at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – The Ursinus College women's track and field team made another appearance at the world-famous Penn Relays on Thursday night, placing sixth in the Centennial/MAC 4x400-meter relay competition.

Sophomores Rachel Coleman, Michela Coleman, and Gianna Speranza joined senior Brittany Gasser turned in a time of 4:10.42 on the track at Franklin Field, edging out Haverford in the process.

Rachel Coleman, who raced in both the 4x100 and 4x400 last year, and Speranza, who competed in the 4x100, were making a return trip to the world's largest and oldest track and field event. Gasser, in her Penn Relays debut, logged an impressive split of 1:01.35, better than several runners from teams that finished in the top four.
