4x100 Relay Dazzles for Women's T&F

SALISBURY, Md. – A sizzling time by the 4x100-meter relay team was the highlight of the day for the Ursinus College women's track and field team as the Bears competed in Salisbury's Eastern Shore Challenge on Saturday.

Sophomores Gianna Speranza, Rachel Coleman, and Molly Rodebaugh joined freshman Kate Hunt to run a season-best 49.92 in the 4x100-meter relay, a mark that now ranks second by a mere .07 seconds to Swarthmore.

Speranza moved up a few spots to 13th on the performance list with a season-best 27.21 in the 200-meter dash. Rodebaugh grabbed a new PR at 27.98.

Sophomore Neve Durrwachter trimmed more than a second off her career-low in the 400 with a 1:05.91.

Senior Brittany Gasser placed third in the 800 with a 2:18.92.

The Coleman twins, Hunt, and Gasser completed the 4x400-meter relay in 4:12.43.

Freshman Kamilyah Nazih logged a new PR in both the shot put (32-10.50) and discus throw (89-3.00).

Fellow rookie Zenya Yanoff competed in both the javelin (95-10), where she placed fifth, and hammer (94-7.00).

Senior Caroline Buckley placed fifth with a 33-10.00 in the triple jump.
