LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Maddie Russell was named to the Women's Tennis All-Centennial Conference honorable mention team, announced by the Conference on Thursday afternoon.
It is the second All-Centennial nod for Russell in her career after garnering second team honors in her collegiate debut season of 2019. Overall, it is her fourth All-Centennial selection after earning a pair of second team doubles nods in 2019 and 2021.
Russell went 4-5 in Centennial Conference singles and posted a 9-10 overall record throughout the whole season. She posted a 3-2 record in number one singles action at the number one spot and saw action at number two singles as well. Russell opened her Centennial season with a thrilling win over Gettysburg's Sarah Guistwite in a tiebreaker, while adding victories over Wynn Bryant of Bryn Mawr and Caroline Maglaras of Muhlenberg.
Additionally, junior Ava Compagnoni was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Compagnoni went 5-3 overall in Centennial Conference singles play behind a 3-1 mark in number six singles action.
