Women's Tennis Loses to Johns Hopkins on Senior Day

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus women's tennis team fell 9-0 on Saturday to No. 14 Johns Hopkins.

Saturday was also Senior Day, and the Bears honored seniors Madisen Harvey and Maddie Sorebo before the match. Harvey has been a regular starter for Ursinus, accumulating 42 wins in singles and doubles. Sorebo has also made appearances in the lineup all four years for the Bears.

The Bears (3-3 CC) fell 8-0 at both one and two doubles. The number three doubles tandem of Caitlin Vinsonhaler and Claire Burke at number three managed to win a game in an 8-1 loss.

In singles, the Bears lost in straight sets in all six matches. At number five singles, Harvey had the most success, winning three games. She fell 6-2, 6-1.

The Bears wrap up their season next week at McDaniel.
