Women's Tennis doubled up by Haverford, 6-3

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to regionally-ranked Haverford on Wednesday afternoon.

The Fords (10-2, 3-1 Centennial), ranked 10th regionally, swept all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead.

In singles play, senior Christina Cromwell (Midlothan, Va./James River) won at fourth flight by a score of 2-6, 7-5, 10-7 over Abby Payson. Freshman Aileen Bevard (West Chester, Pa./Ursuline Academy) improved her record to 7-1 with a fifth flight win over Jessica Liu by scores of 7-5, 6-0.

Finally, freshman Ariel Danziger (Woodcliff Lake, N.J./Pascack Hills) defeated Jia-Ling Tuan at number six flight by scores of 4-6, 7-6, 10-7.

Ursinus is scheduled to head to Dickinson on Friday.
