Women's Tennis upended by Washington College, 7-2

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Trailing 2-1 after doubles, Ursinus saw Washington College win five of six singles matches in a 7-2 victory over the Bears (8-2, 0-1 Centennial) on Wednesday afternoon in tennis play.

The Bears picked up a point over the Shorewomen (6-0, 2-0 CC) at number three doubles as the team of junior BreAnna Bashaw and senior Christina Cromwell (Midlothian, Va./James River) defeated Rachel Martinez and Blair Kang, 8-1.

In singles play, freshman Aileen Bevard (West Chester, Pa./Ursuline Academy) defeated Kang at number five flight, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.
