BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Ursinus saw its four-match winning streak snapped on Friday afternoon as the Bears (4-2) were defeated by Moravian (7-0) 6-3 in women's tennis action.
Moravian swept all three doubles matches, before Ursinus got wins at number 3, 5, and 6 singles on the afternoon.
At number three singles, senior Jessica Tyrrell (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) defeated Erica Venuti, 6-2, 6-2. Freshman Stephanie-Jane Seabra (York, Pa./York Suburban) defated Courtnie Lambert at number five singles, 6-2, 6-2, while senior Caroline Lippe (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) won at number six singles 6-1, 6-1, over Olivia Sonnabend.
