BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Ursinus closed the 2010 season with a close 5-4 loss to regionally-ranked Moravian on Wednesday afternoon in women's tennis.
In doubles play, the Bears (7-11) had a 2-1 advantage as senior Jenna Hope (Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson) and junior Julia Kurtz (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) defeatd Jami Fein and Kerry McKinley had number one flight, 8-3. Freshman Caroline Lippe (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) and freshman Chelsea Carman (Novato, Calif./North Bay Marin School) defeated Elizabeth Endy and Alex Van Buskirk at number three flight, 8-3.
In singles play, sophomore Jimena Talavera (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) defeated McKinley at number three flight, 2-6, 7-6, 10-8), while Leah Stambaugh defeated Alex Van Buskirk, 6-0, 6-2.
