Stevens Named Centennial Conference Swimmer of The Week.

LANCASTER, PA. - After helping lead the Bears to a dual meet victory over Washington College, Ursinus first-year swimmer Molly Stevens earned Centennial Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.

Stevens collected two individual wins during the meet, winning both the 100 and 200 backstroke. Her time of 2:12.57 in the 200 back was a collegiate best and was the fastest time in the Centennial for the weekend for that event. Stevens posted a time of 1:01.80 to win the 100 backstroke. She capped her day by leading off the Bears 400 medley relay that placed first with a time of 4:07.79

The Morgantown, Pennsylvania native has already carved her name into Ursinus Swimming All-Time Top-10 list for her times in the 100 and 200 backstroke. She currently ranks 10th all-time in both events. This is the first time in her collegiate career that she has earned a weekly accolade from the Centennial, and the third Bear swimmer to earn a weekly honor this season after Melissa Leonard and Sophie Lear were recognized earlier this season.

The Bears will return to action this Saturday as they travel to Dickinson College for their final dual-meet of the season.
