Women's Swimming downs Washington College

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team ran its winning streak to 26 straight meets, with a 145-117 win over Washington College on Saturday.

Amanda Lucock won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:16.75, while junior Corinne Capodanno winning the 200 free at 1:59.22. Olivia Tierney captured the 100 breast at 1:10.84, with Maggie Leitz winning the 200 butterfly at 2:18.12.

Capodanno won the 100 free at 55 seconds, with Tierney winning the 200 breaststroke at 2:32.79.

Kozior won the 500 free at 5:23.57, with Katherine Porter winning the 100 fly at 1:01.47.

In the relays, the team of Leitz, Katie Pielmeier, Kozior and Porter were second in the 400 medley with a time of 4:13.37. The team of Capodanno, Micaela Lyons, Tierney and Reney Hess were second inhte 400 free relay at 3:52.78

Pielmeier was second in the 100 back at 1:04.29 and in the 200 breast at 2:37.97, Sydney Gundersen was second in the 50 free at 25.42 and in the 100 fly at 1:02.06. Leitz was second in the 200 back at 2:19.51.

Hess was second in the 200 IM at 2:23.15.
