LANCASTER, Pa. – In a meet that came down to the final day, the Ursinus College women's swimming team finished second at the 2013 Centennial Conference Women's Swimming Championships. The Bears finished with 626 points, just seven points behind Gettysburg who had 633 points. 

Junior Malena Lair Ferrari won the 200-yard backstroke with an NCAA B mark of 2:04.77, bettering her preliminary mark of 2:04.77. Junior Bryn O'Neill was 12th overall, clocking a 2:17.19. In the prelims, Lair Ferrari was first at 2:06.05, with O'Neill 13th at 2:17.40.

Freshman Corinne Capodanno was second in the 100 free at 52.90, followed by sophomore Chelsea Kozior in fourth at 53.79. Freshman Micalea Lyons was eighth at 54.59. In the B finals, sophomore Amanda Lucock was 13th at 55.03 and sophomore Anne Ludwig was 14th at 55.04. In the 100 free prelims, Capodanno was third with a time of 53.52, while Kozior was fourth at 53.99. Lyons was seventh at 54.22. Ludwig took 13th at 55.27. 

In the 200 breast finals, senior Sarah Kolosky finished sixth at 2:31.26, while Russell was 12th at 2:32.03. In the prelims, Kolosky finished eighth at 2:32.61, while Russell was 16th at 2:36.98.

The 200 fly finals saw freshman Kyleigh Hamilton take second at 2:10.04 while sophomore Rebecca Schroll was fourth at 2:13.31. In the prelims, Hamilton was second at 2:10.39, with Schroll seventh at 2:14.41. 

In the 1650 free, junior Molly Serfass was ninth at 18:24.67 followed by sophomore Margo Randelman in tenth place at 18:38.62. Senior Kaylani Wertman was 13th at 19:12.46 with junior Kaitlin Kirker in 14th place at 19:16.09.

The final 400 free relay saw the team of Lyons, Kozior, Lair Ferrari and Capodanno set a new conference and championship record at 3:33.44 by finishing first. The team of Ludwig, Kolosky, Lucock and O'Neill were tenth overall at 3:40.48.
