Women's Swimming moves to 3-0 with win over Albright

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team remained undefeated on the year with a 111-92 win over Albright on Wednesday night.

The Bears, now 3-0 heading into their first conference meet of the season on Saturday, won seven events on the evening.

Junior Malena Lair Ferrari (Bethesda, Md./The German School) was a double winner as she captured the 200 yard freestyle at 1:58.28 and the 100 back at 59.78. She also teamed up with junior Eva Russell (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot), sophomore Rebecca Schroll (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and senior Sarah Kolosky (Fishkill, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:54.88.

Freshman Kyleigh Hamilton (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) won the 200 IM at 2:20.53, while freshman Corinne Capodanno (Claymont, Del./Padua Academy) won the 100 fly at 1:00.66 and was second in the 50 free at 25.16.

Sophomore Chelsea Kozior (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) won the 500 free at 5:26.38 and took home second in the 200 free at 2:00.54, with Russell winning the 100 breast at 1:11.95 and taking third in the 200 IM at 2:21.38.

Freshman Micaela Lyons (Plainfield, N.J./Wardlaw-Hartridge) was second in the 100 free at 56.07 and third in the 50 free at 25.54.

Junior Molly Serfass (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) finished third in the 1000 free at 11:25.63, with Schroll having a third place finish in the 100 fly at 1:04.95. Sophomore Anne Ludwig (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) was third in the 100 back at 1:04.37.

Ursinus hosts McDaniel on Saturday.
