Women's Soccer Falls 3-0 in Season Finale to Bryn Mawr

BRYN MAWR, Pa.  –  The Ursinus College women's soccer team ended its season with a 3-0 loss to Bryn Mawr on Saturday. The Owls scored a goal in the first half and added two more late in the second.

The Bears controlled the early run of play, tallying a pair of shots by Emma Russell and Skylar Knapp that were saved by the Owls keeper. The Ursinus attack kept on the pressure, firing 10 shots toward the Bryn Mawr goal in the first half, but was unable to find the back of the net.

The Owls got one past goaltender Sabrina Doherty on their second shot on goal in the 40th minute to take a 1-0 lead.

Bryn Mawr controlled play in the second half and were initially turned away by the Bears defense. The Owls broke through late however as Ursinus gave up two goals in 1:45 to go down 3-0 in the 79th minute.

Ursinus led Bryn Mawr in total shots, 16-15, but trailed in shots on goal, 7-6.
