Women's Soccer Held Scoreless at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Ursinus College women's soccer team dropped to 0-3 in Centennial Conference play, losing 3-0 on the road to Gettysburg on Saturday. The Bears' loss marks the first time this season that they've given up multiple goals. Junior goalkeeper, Sabrina Doherty, had not given up more than one goal in the teams previous seven games. 

Neither team managed a shot in the first 11 minutes of the game. In the 12th minute, the Bullets capitalized on their first attempt from the corner, finding the back of the net. 3:19 later Gettysburg found the middle of the net for a second time as the Bears trailed by more than one goal for the first time all season. 

The Bullets added a third goal four minutes into the second half. Erika Muskus received a pass into the box and hit the bottom left corner of the net. 

The Bears were held without a shot for the first time this season. Their previous low was four which came against McDaniel. 

What's Next

The Bears play at King's (Pa.) on Wednesday before jumping back into conference play next weekend.
