Three named All-Centennial in Women's Soccer

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Three members of the Ursinus College women's soccer teams were selected to the All-Centennial Conference Team released yesterday. Junior Jeannie Jasinski (Hilltown, Pa./Pennridge) was named to the Second Team for the second straight season, while classmate Erin Farrell (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) and sophomore midfielder Anna Budny (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock North) received honorable mention. The three all-conference nominees mark the program's highest total since the 2010 campaign. Additionally, junior Julia Senkevich (Township of Washington, N.J./Westwood Regional) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Jasinski was the top offensive performer on an Ursinus outfit that finished 12-6-1 and 7-3 in Centennial Conference play and reached the conference semifinals for the first time in five years. She started all 19 games and netted a team-best 10 goals, good for fifth in the Centennial Conference, to go with a pair of assists. Her 22 points ranked seventh in the league. Jasinski notched the game-winning goal in overtime against Muhlenberg in Ursinus' regular-season finale. She is the first Bear to earn back-to-back all-conference laurels since Monica Oliveto, who made the team every year from 2008 to 2011.

Farrell racked up 19 starts for Ursinus, registering six goals and two assists to tie for second on the team with 14 points. Three of her markers were of the game-winning variety, all of them coming during a streak in which Ursinus blanked Gettysburg, Alvernia, and Franklin & Marshall in consecutive September contests.

Budny also started all 19 games and was an integral member of a defense that produced nine blank sheets, including one against Gettysburg in the first round of the conference playoffs. Senkevich made 18 starts among 19 appearances in the midfield, providing an assist on a tally by Farrell in the Bears' 5-0 whitewashing of Alvernia on September 23.

Farrell and Budny were two of nine all-conference selections who were also named to the Academic All-Centennial Team, which recognizes sophomores, juniors, and seniors who boast a 3.40 GPA or higher.
