Women's Soccer falls to Swarthmore, 3-0

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Nationally-ranked Swarthmore put two goals across in the second half as the Garnet (12-0, 6-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (9-4, 4-3 Centennial) 3-0 on Wednesday night in women's soccer action.

The Garnet took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute as Katie Dougherty scored on an assist from Marin McCoy, then took a 2-0 lead in the when McCoy scored on a shot from 15-yards out at 46:21.

Caroline Khanna scored the final goal of the game off of a corner kick with Melissa Trofa.

Swarthmore had a 23-10 lead on shots during the game, with Ursinus junior goalkeeper Courtney Sullivan (Maple Glen, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy Academy) making seven saves.
