COLLEGEVILLE, Pa – The Ursinus women's soccer team increased their win streak to three after defeating Bryn Mawr 3-0 Wednesday night at Patterson Field.

The Bears move to .500 (4-4-1) and still remain undefeated in the Centennial Conference with a record of 2-0-1.  Bryn Mawr drops to 4-6 and 0-3 in the Centennial.

In their three wins, the Bears have outscored their opponents, 6-1.

Offensively the Bears dominated firing 28 shots with 14 on goal while stifling the Owls to only three shots the entire game.

Ursinus opened the game with a corner from Valarie Bedrock that curved to the left post.  Bryn Mawr keeper Aviva Kosansky couldn't get a handle on the perfect kick when the ball grazed her gloves knocking it into the back of the net, the Bears taking a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute of the contest.

At the 30th minute Erin Farrell streaked down the sideline beating the defender and placed the ball into the middle of the box for Alexis Haug to get an easy goal to take a 2-0 lead into the half.

After battling back and forth, Ursinus third goal came in the 86th minute when defender Katie O'Shea scored her first career goal. From thirty-five yards out O'Shea skied a ball to the far post, looking for someone to put it in, but the keeper couldn't reach it as the ball hit the back of the net.

The Bears three-game win streak is the longest since their five-game winning streak in 2010.

Ursinus will hope to continue their strong play Saturday afternoon at McDaniel.
