Women's Soccer stumbles against Rowan, 2-1

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa – Sophomore Jeannie Jasinski knocked in her second goal the season  to tie Rowan 1-1, but the Profs stole the victory with a late goal to knock off Ursinus Women's soccer 2-1.

The Bears fall to 1-3 for the season.

Goalkeeper Courtney Sullivan saved 11 of Rowan's 22 shots on the evening. The Bears could only muster 11 shots with four being on goal.

After a deadlocked first half, the Profs came out energized, scoring the first goal of the game in the 46th minute, Victoria Camera scored on a shot to the left post that was assisted by Erika Suhl.

The Bears didn't get on to the board until 79th minute when Jasinski took advantage of the corner placing it to the low right post. Only minutes later the Profs gained the lead again in the 82nd minute with a goal from Melissa Kelly.

Ursinus will look to rebound at Albright on Saturday evening.
