COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Swarthmore got the lone goal of the game in the 13th minute as the Garnet (4-4, 0-2 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (5-2, 1-1 Centennial) 1-0 on Wednesday night in women's soccer play.
Rebecca Mayeda scored the goal on a breakaway, as she got it past the goalkeeper.
Swarthmore owned a 14-9 advantage in shots on the evening.
The Bears got four saves from senior Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) on the night as she kept the Bears in the game.
Ursinus hosts F&M on Saturday.
