Women's Soccer knocks off unbeaten Rowan, 2-1

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Ursinus junior forward Valerie Bedrock (Waldwick, N.J./Ramsey) scored both of the Bears' goals, including the game-winner in the 77th minute as Ursinus (4-2) defeated Rowan (4-1) 2-1 in women's soccer action on Wednesday.

Bedrock scored in the 68th minute off of a free kick, which marked the first time this season that the Profs had been scored upon. Rowan came into the game ranked tenth in the South Atlantic Region.

The Profs took an early 1-0 lead in the seventh minute when Miranda Donnian scored off of a corner from Tiffany Kelly.

Bedrock's game-winning goal came at 76:50 when off a corner kick, the ball went through the hands of Profs goalkeepker Carleigh Trivino.

Ursinus scored both of its goals on just six shots, as they were outshot by the Profs 17-6 but senior goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) made eight saves to preserve the win.
