Women's Soccer ties with F&M, 1-1

LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus got a goal from senior midfielder Natalie Massari (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) in the 38th minute as the Bears (2-5-1, 0-2-1 Centennial) forged a 1-1 tie with Franklin & Marshall (1-2-3, 1-1-1 Centennial) in double overtime on Saturday afternoon in women's soccer play.
 
Massari scored at 37:51 on an assist from senior midfielder Leah Shaw (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional). That was Shaw's fourth assist of the season.
 
From there, both teams had chances to score. Ursinus managed just one shot in the extra two periods. That shot came with 12 seconds left off of the foot of sophomore forward Ama Achiaw (Damascus, N.J./Westover School), which went wide.
 
F&M fired four shots in the extra periods and two of them were saved by junior goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township). DiJoseph finished with four saves on the day.
 
Ursinus goes to Bryn Mawr on Thursday.
